Rachel's 1st Birthday!

Rachel had a fluttering first birthday with her butterfly themed party! It took almost as much planning as a wedding which makes me fear for when that day comes! We weren't quite sure what to do with ourselves when the party was over because Rachel and I spent the last two weeks before the party running here and there picking up last minute items every day. We want to especially thank Kayla for taking some great pics at the party!

Here's her birthday cake, which I am actually impressed to say that I made. It turned out pretty good. Not quite as perfect as the model I was using, but good enough since it was just going to be smashed anyways!

Butterfly cupcakes...mmmm...yummy!

The theme for the party...we had hot pink, bright purple, lime green, turquoise, and bright yellow plates and cups to match.

Birthday Girl! Looking dazed and confused...probably wondering why her house was invaded by so many people!

Crazy daisies! One of my favorite flowers that went oh so perfect with the party!

Flowers on the guest tables, along with a little extra addition provided by Cade...

Nimbus, lounging as usual, on Rachel's big day...

Checking out her new riding toy from Aunt Bren & Aunt Phyllis...

The kids just had to try out Rachel's new wagon after most everyone had gone home. Here's Pa pulling Cade around the house!

All the kiddos in the wagon...

So excited about her new Little Einstein's DVD that she picked out at Toys R Us on her birthday! Well, actually Adam picked it, but she loves it still! We didn't buy her any gifts until after her party so we wouldn't duplicate anything she received. We just took her on a field trip to Toys R Us on her big day and let her pick some stuff out! Adam met us during his lunch break from work and we had a little birthday shopping spree! It was so much fun!

Trying on cute hats at Target on her birthday...

Playing with all of her new birthday gifts from mommy and daddy...a ball, beach toys, and water sprinkler that will be a blast this summer!

Forward facing is so much better than staring at the back of the car seat! Rachel's first ride facing the front on our way to Chuck E Cheese on the night of her birthday!

Her favorite ride at Chuck E Cheese...a big horse!

Family pic at the Cheese... what a great birthday!!!
